Re: Panel Makes Game Crash

Released in 1997, FS98 was heralded at the time as a great new Flight Simulator.

it's prolly just a single gauge (or a single group of gauges, like the rpm gauges for the different engines) that causes it

try to edit the panel.cfg, take out gauge after gauge till the problem is gone

but remember the numbering sequence has to be kept straight
the reasonable man adjusts to his souroundings, while the unreasonable man insists on adjusting his souroundings to him.

therefore all progress is due to the unreasonable man.

I noticed that when I switch to any complex airplane in the panel view, when I look outside the computer didn't draw certain parts of the plane.

However, when I switch airplanes in outside view the airplane is drawn correctly and all the parts are there.

I think this has to do something with h2g.dll. I noticed that in the panel view the horizon has a different colour than in outside view. In the outside view the horizon is just gray - like it is supposed to be. However, in the panel view it has color. For example at dawn its an orange color and during the day it is blue. Even though the FS98 sky is purple.

Anyways, changing airplanes in the outside view seems to solve it.
