Unexplained power losses...?

Released in 1997, FS98 was heralded at the time as a great new Flight Simulator.

Unexplained power losses...?

Postby jimclarke » Mon Apr 24, 2006 11:44 pm

After running FS98 for a few years now, I have run into a problem I've never seen.  With several of my aircraft I experience power loss when I throttle up for T/O.  The RPMs come up for a second then drop off.  Some A/C stop moving and some may get up to 60 kts by the end of the runway.

I hope I am not overlooking something simple.

Anybody else see this??

Thanks,

Jim

Jim I know this is a really silly Q (but I did this a while back :-[) are you running the throttle up with the joystick throttle control or F4? Just the keyboard over-rides the stick for throttle controls ;)

I tried it with both.  Some of the aircraft are ok, it's just a few I've noticed lately doing this.

OK I fixed it.  It was my propeller control (automatic) under aircraft settings.  I have no clue how it got that way????

Thanks guys,
