Can't land @ destination airport

Each time i takeoff from KNUQ TO KLAX i get a heading of 123 however, when i fly that heading using autopilot, it takes me across the runway I'm never lined with the runway.
When i check the map I'm always flying across and, away from my destination airport. What can i be doing wrong?
fs2002 isn't all that great!
