No virtual cockpit

I spent the last evening downloading loads of airlines (Because the default fictional ones are boring) and every single one doesn't have the virtual cockpit screen, just an open view, how do i get the virtual cockpit set up in downloaded planes?

Many freeware downloads don't come with virtual cockpits-they have to be built into the 3d model.  If you're a VC junkie, (like me ) make sure to keep an eye out for downloads that say they have a VC.

surely there must be a way to import one of the default VC's and put it in the downloaded planes directory, or change the planes cfg file, i just dont wanna mess around unless i know what im doing

Not possible without the original source file. The DVC is part of the visual model.
