gps window

what ... where, in the panel.cfg will I find the setting to adjust so that the gps window stays constant in size & position as I change views in flight?

If the GPS or other gauge is configured to open in a separate window you can open it from the keyboard (shift + window #) or from the alt screen.

In this example from a panel.cfg file my GPS is window 2.  Pressing shift-2 opens the GPS window in the same spot on the screen no matter what view I'm in.
