They wouldnt happen to be an MD-83, Piper Cherokee and a deHavilland dash 8, would they?
These aircraft are default AI, and they dont show up in FS, if you dont have any additional traffic installed then I wouldnt suggest deleteing them, as you would be flying in an empty sky, you can, however, download free AI to install. Just go here
http://www.projectai.com
Also, I wouldnt worry so much about it, they dont take up much space, if you dont want the fake airlines in your sim just rename your AI traffic .bgl. Anyway, what are you trying to do in FSEdit?

Cheers,
Alex

No, the aircraft in question are 1GR Me 262A-A1 Schwalbe 2+, Mooney KeDI, and IGR Ta 152H-1.

It's the fact that these show up so many times in my FSEdit aircraft list that bugs me.

[quote]Three aircraft, however appear in multiple entries at apparently random intervals.

Thank you.     The aircraft don't appear in the FS2002 aircraft list.    It seems that I am just going to have to forget it.      But it still bugs me !!!

I wouldn't usually touch FSEdit with a prong but this intrigued me so I checked it out. I discovered that it reads aircraft in a Hangar subfolder in my FS2002\Aircraft folder. Maybe that explains it.

Thank you Hagar,      I also keep a Hanger folder in FS2002 Aircraft.    None of the three aircraft are in it.
There must be a file somewhere which lists the aircraft in FSEdit but, so far, I've been unable to track it down.

I also downloaded that Josh Liste file you mentioned to check it out. From what I can make out, FSEdit simply lists the aircraft it finds in the FS2002\Aircraft folder (or wherever it's pointed). I'm not sure it actually stores this data anywhere. Those ghost aircraft have to be somewhere in your FS2002 directory. Try searching your HD for the file/folder names. I wouldn't mind betting you find them hidden inside other folders. ;)

Hagar    Thank you.      Tried that - the wretched things don't even show up in 'Search'.      Guess I'll just have to live with it.

Thanks to all.     Purely by accident, I found these three files in a .CAB file called 'Examples' in the FS2002 gauge folder.      Problem now solved!
