ok here's my problem,

My FS2002 wont accept my keybord commands anymore!

I press the space to jump to the back of the plane in spot view and nothing happens!

i press F4 to increase throttle, and nothing happens!!

I press  ` to get ATC and nothing heppens!!!

I press ESC and nothing happens!!!!

What could cause this? All the key assignments are still default.

Perhaps your keyboard has A) became unplugged while playing FS8, or B) is in need of new batteries (if it's a wireless keyboard) :)

Is it safe to assume the keyboard (and the joystick if you have one) work in every application except FS?  Try some of these ideas:

1. FS/Settings/Assignments - does everything look OK in there?

2. Windows/Control Panel/Keyboard - does everything look OK in there?

3. Device manager - does everything look OK in there (no yellow question marks)?  Expand Human Interface Devices and Keyboards to make sure.  You might have a conflict between the stick and the keyboard.

4. Back to FS/Settings/Assignments - reset to "default".

5. Second to last resort (before reinstalling the sim).  Backup then delete FS2002.cfg.  When you restart the sim the file will be re-created with default values.  If the keyboard works you might be able to see why the old configuration didn't work and cut & paste the keyboard settings into your backup.

You will have to go back into the settings menu to re-create any customizations.
