Flicker Understood

Me again from the dark corners of my cave, :)      Somewhere along the line - - -  in my study of the forums  I think I've got THAT FLICKER  figured out.   Since I have ample RAM [over 500 Mb]    and I only fly the lightest of the ultralights in my VFR in the area of Alaskan scenery ,     the Flicker is due to the PC using up all of the speed with other "JUNK" programs.  :)  Ahem, - - - - - if "it" messes w/my flight sim ,     it's "JUNK". :)            I need help in finding and giving this "JUNK" the boot.      I'd like to feed that "JUNK" to that dinosaur on page 269. ;D   Allways apprecitive,     caveman

When in windows, press ctrl + alt + delete to bring up the task manager. Go to processes and shut down all the processes you don't need. If your computer suddenly stops working, you needed the proces you just shut down.  ;D

Oh-boy- - - - -  that list is almost as scary as a dinosaur.   Before I start swinging a club to kill some of them,   could someone guide me away from those that keeps the PC alive ?      After I do some in, - - - is there some way to have them SAVED so I don't need to do the  "KILLING "  each time I re-boot ?   Thanks for your help, - -  I'm slow but getting there w/you guys help.       caveman
