1.  Have an issue where toggling through different views when I get back to my cockpit the sound is blasting!  If I do a quick view then the sound goes away, any ideas?

2.  My ATC voice is extremely low compared to the other sounds.  I have gone in and pushed the volume on ATC voice all the way up, but is is still low, any ideas there?

Thanks again for all your help!

Hit the alt button, go to settings, then sound, and adjust they levels to how you want them.

Lower the volume for all the other sounds.

Just a couple of ideas:

Ckeck your levels in Windows volume control and see if anything looks wierd.  I usually keep the master control at 100% and the wave at 90% (you will have different controls depending on your sound card).  Most of the FS sounds are .wav files but I have no idea what the decoder for ATC sounds is.

Check all of your sound device drivers and codecs.

Consider "reinstalling" (extracting from cd and pasting into FS2002/sounds) your ATC sound file.  Mine is USEnglishBig.gvp, which is the English 10 voice file.  Yours is probably the same unless you installed the 3 voice file.

Hello

I've just noticed this thread, although it's been running for a week or so.

I am also having the same problem as the first one described in the original post - the very high volume when returning from, eg, spot view.  It doesn't seem to have been addressed in the replies.

Doea anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

It looks as though I might have got problem number one sorted, by updating the sound card drivers - it was suggested on another forum that it might be a hardware issue, or the drivers might need updating, or to try reducing the sound quality, in settings/sound.

Hope this helps, if it's still a problem.
