No IFR Entries in my logbook - Why?

Postby Gringo6 » Tue Sep 27, 2005 6:20 pm

I am not getting any IFR entries in my log book. I create an IFR flight in flight planner, file and fly the flight. but it is logged as merely day or night as appropriate but not as instrument.

How can I correct this ?

You can correct this by deleting the VFR entry and writing an IFR entry yourself. I don't know of any other way.

When it says instrument in the log book, it doesnt actually mean IFR, it means time during a flight when you were relying completely on your instruments (generally in cloud)
Otherwise it will always log both VFR and IFR as just day or night. (even though when on an IFR you are genrally relying on your instruments!)
