How do you get autopilot to land by itself?  ??? ??? ???
Any help would be appreciated.

The quick answer is that you can't.

The longer answer is that you might be able to find an autoland gauge if you dig through a few libraries.  I've never had any need for one, myself.

I recall that FS98 had an autoland feature but you had to have your NAV1 radio engaged on the ILS, be properly lined up and switch APP HOLD on.  If you do that you don't need an autoland feature - hit the threshold in your C172 at 90 knots, kill the power and you will land as smooth as a Tiger Woods birdie putt.

David Maltby's VC-10 and Trident both have good autoland capability, although like Webb said, I prefer to do it myself.

It will be a warm day in Hillary Clinton's heart when I can land without crashing...

Funny, i had the same question here a few months ago, i never used to land properly, but after understanding how it really works, i learnt to land perfectly after a few days of practice but autopilot control.

here, i will provide u the link that i used, try to understand it carefully, it shouldn't be difficult as it looks:
