I am checking out downloading some planes and noticed the awesome Bill Lyon's packages that are now freeware. However, do they all work in FS2002 and FS2004?

They should work perfectly well in FS 2004 as they were designed with FS 2004 in mind. However, you might find that the Flight Dynamics are a little off when comparing them in FS 2004 and FS 2002; this is because the two Sims handle Flight Dynamics a little differently. You may also have a problem displaying all the Gauges in FS 2002 as the Aircraft may call for some of the stock FS 2004 Gauges that are not present in FS 2002.
It might be a good idea to install the files to a Temporary Folder and then manually install the Aircraft and not the Scenery in FS 2002. FS 2004 and FS 2002 handle Scenery a little differently and they might not display where they were intended to in FS 2002!
Other than that, the Aircraft should work nicely in FS 2002
