writing scripts for FS2002

Postby kamgarry » Fri Jun 24, 2005 1:13 pm

Hi,

I hope someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction.  I am trying to use FS2002 to collect data for an experiment, and need to find a way to script what the other aircraft in the scenario are doing.  I have been told this is poosible, but haven't been able to find anything on the specifics of how to do it.  Thanks!

The only way I know to 'script' the other aircraft (AI) is to write flightplans using Lee Swordy's 'TrafficTools' utility, available here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm

With it you create flightplans by defining, among other things, aircraft, origin and destination(s), departure times, cruise altitude, VFR/IFR.

As all AI flights fly 'Direct Route' you cannot define inflight maneuvers.

Dont know if this is what your looking for. Ifyou have ?? about using TTools, head over to the 'AFCAD and TTools' forum.

Cheers,
Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Dave,

Thanks for the info.  I'll try that and see if it works.
