PROBLEM SELECTING ENGINES

Postby aramis09 » Mon Jun 13, 2005 9:48 pm

Hello, I have some problems with my add-ons, in the panel, once I select one engine (using shift+#, depending on the number of turbines) I cannot select all of them back to use all together, do I have to modify something on the aircraft.cfg? or in the panel.cfg? I'll apreciater any help. As always, thx u guys.

The default assignment for engine select is 'e' then the desired engine number ( example,  e then 1) . To reselect all, e then 1 then 2 then 3 then 4, depending on the number of engines.

The 'Shift+#' is panel windows toggle.

Hey Dave thx man, actually I've done that already, I mean, I knew that procedure, the thing is that with some panels added, that doesn't work, for example, flying a 727, I select the eng #1 (shift+1) until then, everything seems to be ok, but, when I try to select the other engines independently, nothing happen, remain selecteed the number one and finally when I try to select all of them to can fly, it's imposible to do that, is like the shift + # were deactivated, or working bad.

Dave, yes, you're right, I've you all confused, I've just realised 'bout my mistake, I've mentioned the "shift" key for the combination, I was wrong, is like you just said, only the "E" plus the number, I've tried that already and happens exactly the thing that I told you in my last post, apparently he new panel is configured like all, 'cause, when I select, for instances, the engine 1 (E + 1) ok, I've the control of it, but when I wnat to get back to the all engines or select another one, its imposible, remains the 1 selected, no matter what combo I try, E+1, E+1+2, E+12, I have to restart the flight to get the control.

Does this happen on all aircraft?

Are you using the correct  number keys?

You should use the number keys on the top row of the main keyboard (just above the E), NOT the numbers on the numpad.

Have you reassigned those number keys?

Check Settings>Controls>Assignments and see if 'Select item 1' thru 'Select item 4' are still assigned the 1 thru 4 keys.
