737 experience fs2002 patch

Postby shamrock_1 » Sun Jun 12, 2005 2:26 pm

hi all,

does anyone here have any experience with the fs2002 patch for "the 737 Experience" ?

i recently installed it to get it to work in fs2002 and it works great except for two minor details, the nosewheel always looks like it is turning full right and the stabiliser trim looks fully down, but the aircraft performs as usual.

any ideas or suggestions?

thanks,
John.

I beleive the 737 Expereince is not fully compatible with FS2002. It will work but somethings won't be right. I had tried to get it working too when I had FS8, but the aircraft didnt even show up for me. I then bought FS9 and it's a big improvement for me.

Cheers,
Ashar ;)

The model was designed for FS2004.  I worked with the designer (Moach) on the project and he let me have the original model code and agreed that I could put together a version that would be visible in FS2002, for the sole reason of making that great model available to FS2002 users also.  The downside is the two anomalies mentioned here, and noted in the package README.

Unfortunately I have little knowledge of GMAX (and little time to learn it) so the package was offered as-is. It's how I flew it for some months (designed the FD around it) and it's only now that I have FS9 that I can see it as it was designed.

Sorry about this - but the upside is that you can see it in FS2002! There aren't many -700s available for FS2002 I'm afraid.

I did send the FS9 Model through MDLC and it worked fine except of the trim, the Rudder and the pedals were fine, but the FS2002 Version with those heat shimmer effects, which look good, doesn
