few questions

hi,
i have two problems ;

1  does anybody knows how to open the cargo door on a 747-... Opensky?? In the ''Read Me'' they say "arrest hook"  Does anybody knows what that is?  ???

2 When Dinamic Scenery is 100 % there are still no others planes flying around , could somebode help me


My English isn't that very good but i think you know what i mean  :P

Firstly Jeremy, welcome to SimV.

Not sure about FS2002, but in FS2004:

1) Have a look through the 'Assignments' (Settings -> Assignments) & look for 'Arrest Hook' to see what key is set to operate it. If there is no assigned key then you can easily assign whatever key you like to this function.

2) Aswell as 'Dynamic Scenery' there is also a slider for 'Air Traffic Density' (Settings -> Traffic) which you might find is set at 0%.

As mentioned though, this works for FS2004, but I find that 2002 & 2004 are very similar in set up, so it might be almost identical.

Yes, it's exactly the same in FS2002. In order for the tailhook command to work, the aircraft.cfg must contain command lines like:

[TailHook]
tailhook_length=4
tailhook_position=0.0, 0.0, 0.0
cable_force_adjust=0.5

or else the assigned key won't work. You can cut and paste it from above.

Default setting for traffic is 0%, but you can set it where you set ATC options. (don't set it to 100% if you don't want to wait a lot for landing or take-off on big airports)!!!

....each of the AI Flightplans has a  percentage allocated to it......depending on your slider setting these AI flightplans will come into operation........if you set your slider at say 50% then only the flightplans with a 50% or less figure will be seen.............if you set it to 100% then they will ALL be used..............and as adi says ...you could have some long waits............commoner
