Cleveland-Hopkins Int'l Airport (KCLE)

Postby fsjeffrey » Sun Apr 24, 2005 2:30 am

I have compiled a list of selected airports that show the various runways with applicable Navaid frequencies.

At an FAA website I get all of the real world data and compare it with those included in FS2002.

Has anyone noticed that Cleveland-Hopkins Int'l Airport (KCLE) has different runway numbers in FS2002 than those in the FAA data?  All others on my list appear to match up perfectly.

Anyone know where I can get runway frequencies for the Cleveland airport runways as they appear in FS2002?

I compiled this list so that I can practice ILS/DME approaches at various locations on different runways.

Jef, airports will on occasion actually re-calculate the magnetic headings so they do change every now and again.

Open the map and click on the airport. All the airports comm and nav freq. will be listed.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Why on earth would someone want to be flying into Cleveland?

;D ;D ;D

(said by a true Ohio man himself..)

Funny you should mention hopkins though, I'm working on an hour long presentation about the regional jets and how they have affected hopkins airport....

I also know a couple of people who work for continental there as well! :)

Superfort,

I'll tell you my Cleveland story.

In 1935 when I was about six months old, my mother took me to Cleveland (from New York) via United Airlines. I must have been quite cute then because the pilot took me into the cockpit and kept me there for most of the flight.

When we arrived in Cleveland, I'm told that someone from United gave me a diploma which said that I was a member of the United Airlines Fledgling Society. I think at the time I was the youngest person to ever have flown, at least on United.

Never been back. Probably changed a bit since then.
