A few hardware questions..

Hi all, I have a few questions regarding FS 2002 and video cards, etc, if I may. I am running an IBM desktop at 550 mhz with 192 megs ram and a radeon 7000 v/c. First I am curious about the difference in video cards, would I see improvement with a 128 meg card or is my slow cpu and lower ram just killing my chances. How about going up with the ram too? It gets to the point of spending  the extra money on a new fast system, doesn't it? O.K., here's another question from someone who does't have, and hasn't really seen FS 2004; What are  the improvements offered in FS2004 and if I buy a new system and get all excited about running FS 2004 am I going to run into the same video card chase to run it with most of the settings turned up.  I hate slow frame rates as it kills the realism for me, and I love to boot around in some of the fantasy aircraft that I've downloaded (What a riot) as well as the big jets and smaller aircraft too but some aircraft are so damn nicely rendered that my flying experience turns into a slide show (The Millenium Falcon over New York City for example, hee hee). Any feedback is welcome, thanx in advance.

I'll take a stab at your FS2004 question.

Thank you for the input CAFedm, I will continue to slobber over the possibilities of running FS 2004 on my next machine, which will hopefully be a screamer with lots of ddr ram & a snappy video card, etc. I know what you mean about the must have add-ons, I recently saw a massive mothership from the movie Independence Day that is available only as scenery for FS 2004. It apparently has landable decks and interior runways and the like and I HAVE to have it. Enjoy your recent purchase!
