For some reason, FS2002 does not recognize aileron (left - right) axis on my MS Sidewinder.  I've reinstalled, to no avail.

I have no problem with CFS2, FS2000, FS2004, CFS3, and any other joystick enabled games.

ANy clues as to what I may be overlooking?

It sounds as if it's properly calibrated but it wouldn't hurt to calibrate it in windows again.

After that, go into the FS settings menu and see what's screwed up.  If push comes to shove you can delete (backup) FS2002.cfg and let the sim re-create it.  I know, a big pain, but better than reinstalling the whole sim.

Many thanks - renaming the *.cfg file did the job.
