How do you teach the ATC to say airline Names?

Postby CaptainCub » Fri Apr 01, 2005 6:32 pm

I've come up with some fictional airlines that I fly in the sim and would like to know if it is possible to teach the ATC to say the airline name when making radio contact. In some cases, I got lucky and the sim had the name in its vocabulary, but for some of the others, all I get is the flight number. Is it possible to teach the A.I. or whatever to say the new names? Is there a folder or file I need to add the name to?

Here for a list of the callsigns recognized by default....

To add new callsigns requires a program called Editvoicepack.....

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

As mentioned above, visit the Editvoicepack site.....

...from that site......
EditVoicepack
EditVoicepack offers a simple interface to edit the file containing the ATC communication used in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. It is possible to change the phraseology as well as add airline callsigns, airports, and aircraft types. EditVoicepack already contains thousands of ready made entries; and is able to download new entries from a central server. It also allows you to accelerate the existing voices for a more realistic experience and better handling of traffic dense environments.

They also have the version for FS2002.

Cheers,
Dave
