Northern Lights

are the Northern Lights on here and if so what would be a good Time and Year setting and a good airport location to se them.

Yes, the Northern Lights are in FS2002, and about now is a good time to see them - head north from Anchorage in Alaska and you should see them. I saw them a couple of days ago on a flight between London and Oslo.

Go above 66 degrees north or below 66 degrees south in either autumn or spring to see either the northern or southern lights.

This is something a lot of people have had trouble with. I don't know why though. I saw them on my first ever attempt to take a look.

Heres a screenie I just took, stock FS2002 set up. Flying between Anchorage and Deadhorse Alaska at 29000 feet, 11PM, in January.

Pretty cool effect for sure.

First time I ever flew this flight I was totally surprised to see that the Northern lights had been modeled into the sim!
