Engine fails too be controlled

Does anyone have any idea why the starboard engine on all jets fail too respond via keyboard commands or on-board commands in Flightsim 2002. auto throttle sets the throttle at correct speed until any adjustments are made, resulting in the engine returning back to idle. This is only a recent glitch.
