Where Have the planes gone??

i have a reccuring problem that i need help with

Once fs2002 is installed, the ai planes work fine but after roughly 8 weeks, all the ai traffic vansihes, if i reinstall it the problem is rectified for another 8 weeks and then it goes again.

any help would be greatly appreiciated

(and yes ai traffic is turned up full)

Hi Ben. Look in your FS2002\Aircraft folder for a file named default.dp. The most likely cause of your problem is that you deleted it by mistake when you were tidying up your Aircraft folder. If it's not there you can retrieve it from one of the CAB files on CD-1.

i,VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM RE;ABOVE DEFAULT.DP, i,VE FOUND IT WHERE TO I PUT IN FS2002

Look in Aircraft.cab or FS2002.cab. I'm sure it's in one of them.

OR - If your default.dp is missing - create a new text file in the FS2002\Aircraft folder & open it in Notepad. Copy/paste the complete entry below from this post into it. Exit Notepad saving changes. Rename the text file to default.dp
