A Strange Framerate Issue

Postby spoomonkey » Mon Dec 13, 2004 7:00 pm

I am trying to run multiple monitors via a couple of invidia g-force video cards in a single tower. I get blazing framerates (100+FPS) as long as I'm using one view... open another window and the framerate drops to 20FPS or so instantly,.. try moving that new window to another monitor and the rate goes THROUGH THE FLOOR (9FPS).

This only occurs trying to run FS2002 this way,.. If I turn the settings down, FS2004 will hang at around 20FPS with FOUR monitors on.

I'm using a 3 gig pentium processor with 2 gigs of ram. I would prefer to run FS2002,.. but it goes from haul ass to totally unplayable as soon as I start undocking windows. Does anybody know what I'm missing?

My question is why are you using two video cards to do this with. That could be your problem. I suggest you use one card that drives two moniters  the FX5200 will do this. I am gussing your system is having problems keeping up with the video demands this way. 8)
