It should either be in the file description where you download it or in a readme that comes with the file.  A cabin view is pretty good for a freeware plane, so if it has one you can bet that it'll be in the file description.

Hi welkflyman ,

I absolutely love to be able to look back in a cabin and especially enjoy a virtual cabin .  I now only seek out planes with virtual passenger compartments .  Are you familiar with Active Camera ?  I think one of the neatest features of the simulator is the recording of a flight and then , through the wonder of active camera and virtual passenger cabins , playing back the flight and riding as a passenger .

Many planes have a view of the passenger area from the pilots area , but have not found a great number with virtual cabins .  Milton Shupe and others have some wonderful Aero Commander twins that have virtual cabins .   The MAAM R4D ( DC-3 ) donation ware plane has one of the most beautiful passenger compartments you will ever see .  The Howard 500 also is a remarkable work of art and has a great V cabin .

Bill and Lynn Lyons have produced some of the most wonderful aircraft of anybody and I love the Goodyear Blimp .  You just have to see that gondola interior and ride as a passenger .  Quite an extraordianry experience .

The Boeing 777 Meljet has a really nice first class passenger cabin .

I recently found an American Airlines Convair 240 and has some of the most beautiful wing and engine views I have seen .  I wish it had a virtual cabin , but you can still use Active camera and go back to a passenger type of view .

There is a boeing 717 ( yx717v2.zip )  which has a passenger compartment , but is toy-like .  It is still fun to sit in the back and look out at the neat wings .

I really love the Falcon 90VA and is one of my most favorite to fly .  It only has a photographic view of the passenger compartment and cannot venture back into that area with Virtual Camera , but is still a neat feature.   If any of you get the Falcon and enjoy it as much as do I , I will be happy to send you a bitmap that I modified  to get rid of the awkward looking post in the windshield and a flaw in the left forward view .   I would need an e-mail address of course .  Mine is jlrdds@hotmail.com .

These are just a few " treasures " that I think you would like .

Jamie

Those are some great planes, make sure you get the Falcon 50.  Unfortunately, you just cannot tell before you download unless the author chooses to put it in the description.

Hi Dreaded Pirate ,

I thought I had downloaded the Falcon 50 and I did have it plus a patch .  I had only looked at it briefly and had not downloaded because it said you had to remove some stuff if you had an older version ( which I do not ) , but sounded complicated .

I just installed it and has an absolutely exquisite interior and a beautiful panel and views from the pilot seat .  The windshield is perfect . The gauges are smaller than those of the Falc 900 , but very nice .  What I would give for a virtual passenger cabin !!!  Would love to sit back there .

Thanks ,

Jamie
