Locking the nose wheel on takeoff..

Is there anyway to lock the nosewheel for takeoff in FS2002? When I take off with any wind it seems to push me all over the place. It would be nice if I could lock the nosewheel steering to go straight down the runway.

Lock the NOSEwheel?  Well, in taildraggers you can lock the tailwheel, but there's no such thing as locking the nose wheel, that would mean you don't have any directional control (NOT safe)!  And the all-over-the-place problem wouldn't be solved by locking the nose wheel, it's one of those fs-ey problems (unless you're being effected by P-factor and torque-in which case, turn your realism settings down)

I know what he means.

He aligns with the runway, and as he is rolling down the torque or win is pushing him to the side.

To answer, no you cannot lock the wheels, but while on the ground using the keys 0 and enter on your number pad WITHOUT THE NUMBERPAD LIGHT ON will move rudder or sometimes front wheel so you can keep your plane in the a line. Don't over do it though..

Good luck ;)
