Hi,

I have downloaded the Kirk Olsson's F-16 Viper (USVIPER.zip) (http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military2.htm).

Yes I have installed the effect in to the "effacts" folder of FS2002.  May be I am not flying the right way I don't know why it's not seen  ???

I've only ever used Kirks F16 in FS9 and it works fine, even the vapour effect... hmm has this been modded for FS2k2 in any way?

Nope the FS9 is a mod from the 2K2 version.
If I remember right the vapor files are xml so may have to be in their own folder ..... Can't remember off the top of my head.

Well, it is written that the F-16 is for FS2002/2004 and the .zip file for this F-16 has a readme file for installation but it does not work.  Could anyone download the F-16 from the this link ---- >  http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military2.htm (it is the first one called FS2002/FS2004 F-16 VIPER. USVIPER.zip and open the "Viper Setup Guide" and copy paste it in this post so I can read it.  Thanks alot.

HI Fighters ,
I am not sure what you wanted , but here is a portion of it .  If I try to copy all of it , it has too many photos of the F-16 and would take up too much room .  Let me know if there is anything else specific that I can post here .  I could possibly send you the Viper setup Guide .doc if I had an address and if it will send ?????  It is 483 KB and would seem you would already have it with your zip file ?

***** (FS2004 main folder is named Flight Simulator 9) *****

1.) COPY & PASTE the VIPER folder to your FS2002/04 aircraft folder.

2.) COPY & PASTE the contents of the effects folder to your FS2002/04 effects folder.

3.) COPY & PASTE the contents of the gauges folder to your FS2002/04 gauges folder.

4.) The panel.cfg I have included is made to work seamlessly
with Eric Marciano's freeware F-16 panel. My Virtual Cockpit
requires several of the gauges from it as well.

6.) If you don't like the default wing vapor effect. You can replace it with a wingtip vapor effect by using the aircraft.cfg provided in the ALT aircraft.cfg folder.
4.) If afterburner animation isn't working or the afterburner effect doesn't show up at all (in fs2002), reloading the aircraft from the aircraft menu should fix it. Also no afterburner flame will be viewable in FS2004. You'll need the afterburner effect included with DSB's Typhoon
