Military jets and ILS

Does military jets (F-16s, F-15s or Tomcats), use ILS when landing? Or does the pilot land the aircraft manually?

I know that aircraft landing on a ship have some sort of ILs bcasue they get marked on their runway landings...I beleave there is some one directing them in who says "To High, To Low" and so on...but i'm not positive since I  don't know military aircraft to well :P

I don't think they use ILS when landing on carriers.

What jrpilot is talking about is the meatball, but what he said is way off. Download rbco-11.zip to get the gauge for that.

Also, get the Waikito 3.0 if you're into carriers, and make sure you get arrestor cables 2.2 also. :)

Fighters like to land VFR if possible, but will land ILS.
or other approaches as necessary to get down.

Larger military jets, such as KC-135, C-130, etc.
routinely land ILS, VOR/DME, TACAN, RNAV(GPS) or
whatever it takes.
