Stairs + Docking

Im new to FS2002 and have recently downloaded alot of new planes. In the pictures of the planes some of them have stairs going to an open door like at a real airport. How do I get stairs to dock with my planes? Also what airports are the the most busy and which airports have the docking platforms which connect the plane directly to the airport? ???
Any help would be great.

For a/c that come with stairs/ladders, these are usually part of the model and are activated a couple of different ways, and should be explaned in the documentation that comes with the d'load.

Some simply appear when you open the exit. Some use other controls, like wingfold or tailhook. If this is the case you may have to make key assignments for the control, as I believe they are blank in default assignments.

As for gates, most major international airports have passenger gates. You will have to have your display settings, scenery complexity, set to Very Dense or higher to see them.

Cheers,
Dave

If you are talking about jetways at airports moving to dock with a aircraft I have never seen that before. I am not sure FS2002 has that feature in it. For that matter I have not seen it in FS2004 either.
But it might be possable to use GMAX to do this with A airport of your own making. But as I said I have never seen this before & my settings are maxed and I go to all the major airports.SO if it is out there I for one have not seen it. 8)

Thanx.  ;D

One more thing, does anyone know how to get the stairs out on the embraer 170, the air force one 747 and the cargo stuff on the Lufthansa 747-400F cargo. All of these planes either state they have stairs or are in the pictures supplied with the download. I have tried all the suggested methods above but they do not work on these ones.

Thanx

If it has stairs they could be tied to the tailhook or wingfold commands, or try shift E followed by (1) or (2). Look to see if there is a readme file in the planes folder it might have info on how to deploy the stairs. But not all aircraft have stairs they have to be made by the designer.
If you have not used the tailhook or wingfold commands you will need to assign a key for them in the assignment section. 8)

JustFlight (www.justflight.com) sell a product with airports which have little men who guide you into the gate after taxi (they point left and right to keep you straight) and also there are some airports with those moving tubes which sort of clamp to the side of the plane on larger airliners (i think they might be called jetways from previous posts, although you'll have to forgive my lack of terminology!).

I'm not 100% which scenery package had these features, but i am fairly confident it was either World Airports or GB Airports - but i'm sure it'd tell you in the product description. They ship to the UK, but i'm not sure if they ship internationally - you'd have to see - and i have bought online with them and found them to be reliable.

Hope that is maybe helpful,

Adam
