Overspeed warning

Hi eveybody!

Anyway, I want to know if there is a way to get that annoying red overspeed warning and the alarm to turn off (without slowing down)?   Is there a way I can modify an aircraft's CFG file to allow it to go faster without that stupid warning?

Thanks,
Spinner

Hello Spinner,
yes, same answer as always. See old postings at AvHistory:

Perhaps he doesn't want to register just to get a simple answer he could get at this location instead of visiting another stupid forum? hmm

On another note, Spinner if it's going off more than likely you shouldn't be going that fast. In every recently made plane I know of, the overspeed warning is set at the correct level. Remember, not all planes can do Mach 1. :P

However unrealistic it is, you simply have to download an air file editor like the one here: http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_utilities.htm , search for the "vmo" line and edit the value on that line for your desired max speed in KIAS.

Thanks for all your help! :D

I think I have it solved well enough right now.  I just got different sounds off the internet for the airplane and now it still says overspeed, but dosn't have that peircing noise :P

Also, this is a that Lancair Legacy, so I'm not planning on Mach 1 ;D...........yet!!!!!!

Hello Saratoga,
sorry I was being lazy too, and forgot about registration. This question comes up very often it should be in a FAQ and I did not want to write a new answer again.
In Air file
316=*Mmo Overspeed Warning (Mach),mach
[1101]
....
4=04,aspd,*Vmo - Overspeed Warning (kts)
