Is it possible to start Mid-Flight?

Hello all, still conducting my research.  My last question (about capturing per-second flight data in Notepad) was brilliantly answered because of this site - BIG THANKS - so I now have another.

Here goes: is it possible to begin a flight in the air, as in the training sessions of FS2002?  I have to test 12 or so participants on their mid-air flight performance, and it might take too long getting them all up in the air.

Any help/directions/advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers all

Yep...but you gotta make the flight yourself. Start at whatever airport you would like, then takeoff and climb to any point and altitude you want. Then save the flight under whatever name you choose. If you are going to be using it very soon, set it as the default flight. Whenever you are ready to test them, just open it up and go fly!

Or even easier, just pick an airport, select map view, then set your altitude, heading and airspeed --click ok and you're off.

If you want to change destinations while in mid flight FS2002 will not let you do this. But you can save flights and restart them where you left off at.
You could make several flights using a differnet name for each use the slew key to get you at the altitude you want then save that flight. Then repeat the process for each flight then you can use the select flight option to go to each flight make sure your auto pilot is set before you save the flight so you will not have to recover from a dive when you first start the flights

Unless it's in the MD-83 Gary, then leave the AP off or start out holding the stick back because it resets the trim (which I think is stupid) and the MD-83 needs LOTS of up-trim to cruise.
