'Flickering' problem with planes

Dear all,
My FS2002 developed an interesting problem yesterday - can anybody help me out? I'm in the process of developing some plane lighting effects and have been doing it with a plane with no textures as yet. No issue at night in the dark (sim time that is!) but in the daylight, the plane flickers, almost as if there is a terrific lighning storm near. Nothing else - just the plane. This has spread to other planes that have always been OK - and only some of the textures flicker. Difficult to show in a picture as the effect is very rapid:

If you change viewing angle though, the effect disappears:

I first noticed it just after I downloaded the Project Airbus A320 - specifically on the engine nacelles. I can stop the effect (temporarily) by setting all the display settings for the video card (Radeon 9200SE) back to default and then gradually re-setting them back to where they were.

Anybody come across this problem, or how to fix it?

Many thanks.
:)

I've seen something similar. The fix is easy. Remove ALL video drivers!
Then reboot.
Install most up-to-date video drivers only.
Reboot.
The problem should then be gone. And no I don't know why! Sometimes you get a conflict if even a small part of an older set of drivers is on the machine.

THANKS OZZY!

I got the latest Radeon drivers (7th July) and did what the instructions said - and the problem appears to be fixed!

One of the fixes in the installation tips was flickering textures, so it was a known issue.

Thanks again - just shows how valuable a friendly and helpful forum/site really is.
