FS2002 DEFAULT AIRCRAFTS.

Postby coppershot » Thu Jul 15, 2004 4:57 pm

HELLO SIM MANIACS! I WENT THORUGH THE HARDSHIP OF CONVERTING MY DEFAULT AIRCRAFTS TO SOME AMIZING WORLD AIRLINER TEXTURE. I HAVE FROM AIR JAMAICA TO SIGAPORE AIRLINE WHICH REPLACES ALL THE SOAR AND LANDMARK AIRCRAFTS. I EVEN ADDED A FEW EXTRA DEFAULTS INCLUDING AI AIRCRAFTS ALSO. NORMALLY, FS2002 WILL GIVE THE OPTION OF TWO TO THREE AIRCRAFTS PER TYPE BUT I HAVE EXTENDED IT OT ABOUT FOUR TO SEVEN. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TO MAKE ALL OF THESE DEFAULTS SHOW UP AT MY AIRPORTS? I HAVE USED FS TRAFFIC BUT IT ONLY ALLOW MAYBE 4-5 AIRLINER CALL SIGN TO BE HEARD. PLEAS HELP ME IF YOU KNOW HOW OR CAN GIVE ANY SUGGESTIONS.

You might like to try the revised Airlines.cfg here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2002misc1.htm

Only the listed airline callsigns are recognised by FS2002. For example: Air Jamaica appears to be listed as JAMAICA.

Hey Hagar, thanks but I have the latest airline cfg already. When I flt the jets myself, the names are recognised by the game. I even have a more updated one than the one you sent me. British airways is now being called. I got that one from flightsim.com. I even increased my ATC traffic to 100% and added fs traffic to handle the arrivals and departures. The problem is that for the extra defaults that I have added with the original four allowed by the game, I am not seeing them or hearing them at my airports. I feel that the game probably can handle just four kinds of defaults at a time. If you have any suggestions, please reply.

This will depend on which airports you use. The default AI traffic is probably restricted to a certain amount of airline flights from the larger airports. If you wish to increase it I suggest adding some real life AI traffic with PAI. http://www.projectai.com/

I've never tried it myself but from all accounts it will increase your AI traffic considerably. I'm sure the flight plans are set up for certain airports depending on the airline.

Hey Hagar, I went unto that website you provided but do you have any suggestions for the exact file type to download?

Also Hagar, will this software work for every aircraft I have? I am not really interested in the Ai aicrafts showing up, as much for the default ones. Thank you.

Hi coppershot. As I mentioned earlier, I haven't tried PAI myself. Full details of the PAI installation should be explained on their site. This involves downloading special AI versions of various airliners in different airline logos. I think that traffic tracks for the airlines are included in the packages or available separately.

If you want to stick with the default aircraft I think the only way would be to add your own traffic tracks with TTools. Check out the AFCAD & TTools forum for more details.

PS. If you look on the PAI Official Files/Special Packages page there's a file named FS2002 Default Commercial Traffic Installer. http://www.projectai.com/packages/installer.php
I don't know exactly what it does so you would have to try it yourself. I think you might also need the PAI Installer.
