Hey I thought I saw somewhere you could set up and not have to put CD in after install and actual using? Can anyone help?

Did you do a full complete install? I've done the complete installs and I never had to use the cd to play the game

Unlike the other M$ sims, FS98 & FS2002 never needed a CD in the drive to run. They should work fine without the CD off anything but the minimal install option. This would need to read scenery & other files from the CD.

One thing at a time. I suggest that Ispyramon removes the CD from the drive & tries it first. It's quite likely he's not using a minimal install, in which case it should run perfectly. If he has problems we can sort that out later. ;)

One way to find out if you have made a full install without running FS2002 would be to go to the scenery cfg file and open it look through it and if you see any lines that have (local scenery=d\name of scenry) if so then you have only made a partial install all of the local scenery file lines  should all refer to your C or hard drive not D which is your CD drive. 8) Make sure you look at some of the minor cites and not the large ones such as Miami Atlanta and so forth all of theses files are installed in the minium install.
