Loading New Destination into GPS?

Postby Cherokee_6 » Thu Apr 01, 2004 12:26 pm

ok....I have tried to figure this out but cannot so i am asking....

I save my flight after I land and park...at a later time I open the saved flight and I am at the same spot as I should be....but then how do I load a new destination in the GPS without going through flight planner? If I got through flight planner then I have to choose a starting point (like a gate or active runway) and its never exactly where I was when I saved the flight....

Thanks guys!

Click on the direct 'D->' button of the GPS and enter the airport code. Just play around with it untill you figure it out ;)

You don't have to start a planned flight at a gate or a runway.  You can start where you left off and load a new flight plan if you do this:

Get FSUIPC 2.974 (the last free version).

Open FSUIPC from the Alt/Modules menu.

In the Technical tab, check the "No reposition on GPS plan load" box.

Now you can go into the flight planner and load a new flight plan.  Your aircraft will not be repositioned.

You will need to remember that you have this feature activated, though, because after a while you will start to wonder why your aircraft are not repositioning themselves when you load a flight plan.
