Ok...I have no clue how to land......a VOR...I'm in the stock lear jet.....and I am about 20miles out....I no NEXUS 82 had given me the approach plate to TNCM and I still have it.....will the VOR numbers there(on the approach plate) work in F$2002...becasue when I go to MAP VIEW it doesnt say anything about the runway other than the height and lenght....so can someone do a step by step for me????

Or just do a wuick overview.....Thank you so much....also I landed the Lear JEt at San Marteen....not straight on but what the heck atleast I got on the runway

Of course the map view will give you no radio navaid info for the runway, we're talking about a VOR beacon some hundred feet offset from the actual runway.
Now, look at the bottom right of the chart, you clearly see the VOR located to the left  of runway 09, so no matter how you do it, it will not guide you to the centreline. The chart even read: "final approach track is offset 3 degree from runway centreline"

You may wonder "okay, if the VOR wont guide me to the centreline, then what the heck is it good for"
I tell you what...in bad weather, when you're 15nnm out, the VOR beacon is your best friend. Stay on course 096 until you have the runway in sight, and THEN make the necessary 3 degree correction. If you don't have the runway in sight 1,9nm from the VOR, you will execute a missed approach and follow the instructions on the chart.

OK...I understand and just landed pretty easiley with no wind or any other factors at SAn Marteen..and it was a pretty goood landing...but how does a 747 get on to that runway so perfect...I no the pilot has experience...but still a 747 or a A340 landing at TCNM must be somthing....my flight was judt in a 737 from TCNM to TCNM.....tommrow I will try a longer flight I hope I land it...thank you Nexus for teh help

This might sound like a surprise, but the 747 is one of the easiest aircraft to land. It's so big and sturdy - yet the pilot has total control of it. During my regular trans-atlantic flights (as a passenger, before 9/11  :( ), I got to talk to some Northwest 747 pilots, and they all told me that the 747 is easer to land than say a 737 and Airbus A320. I was kinda surprised at first, but when you think of it...it does make sense!

In general, larger aircrafts are easier to handle, especially when it comes to landing!
