B1B takeoffs

Heres a ponder.....

I downloaded a lovely B1 and decided to take it for a spin last night.

Powered up.... hit 130kts and the undercarriage collapsed.... tried several more times and even managed to get the nose up ........ but then overstressed the airframe ..... Tried it on pure autopilot... same results.... or it tried to do a saturn5 impression and go vertical. I've tried loads of combinations of wing and power settings but all with the same results.... CRASH!!

Can anyone help!!!! Pleaseeeeee!!!

Ehh...which B1B is this? The only one I know of, which I have and is a blast to fly, has no such problems.

This question has come up for the nth time AGAIN! ::) ;)

The answer always given is "READ THE MANUAL!!!"

The B-1b (I think I know which one) requires a bit of lite reading before you take your first flight.  Its so accurately modeled and the airfile is so accurate that any deviation from the prescribed takeoff or landing procedures WILL result in a crash.

Dan,

I believe they are referring to the I3D B1B.  After a little Googling I found it here http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... &Go=Search

As I recall the first release was very buggy and the patches seemed to take forever.  Hopefully this one is the final version.

I also noticed that all links to the I3D website seem to be dead.

This appears to be the new web address; the good news is there is now an FS9 update as well!

http://www.i3dteam.com/main/aircraft.html

Hope that helps.

I you go to the site that AndyG suggested you will find a forum.  There are a few common problems and solutions suggested in there and yours might be one of them.
