Reloading FS2002 on new PC with XP

Postby erix » Tue Feb 17, 2004 6:18 am

I've just built a new PC - P4 2.8, ASUS P4P800, Radeon 9600Pro 128MB card etc. When I loaded drivers for the board I put on DirectX9 (I think a big mistake !?).
Now I'm trying to re-instal FS2002 and not getting anywhere. I think DirectX9 is the problem. Does anyone have a suggestion as to taking off DX9 or is there a fix that will overcome the problem?

Hi erix, what kind of error message are you getting? Just I've been using FS2k2 on XP since XP first came out, and I run dx9. No problems....

Thanks Ozzy for the advice - you were right.
I found out that one of my CDRom drives was not performing properly. All's well now, Erix
