Hello, and please help if you can.
I don't know how on earth this happened...but I downloaded an airplane that has screwed up my FS2002 real bad. Not sure how much I have contributed to this, but to make a long story short, the 747 panels and gauges from this airplane have overwritten the panels on the "read-only" stock 747 that come with the simulator. For instance, if I choose "Landmark 747" the panels have been replaced by the downloaded planes. When I go to FSEditor, I get an error message for the 747 saying that the panels cannot be viewed as they are incompatible with FS Edit. I can view these panels under the 747 file in the aircraft folder, and they are the bogus ones. Not to mention, but this has caused my FS2002 to run choppy and freeze up rendering it bascially useless. Yes, I have erased all known FS files and uninstalled FS2002, but the panels appear after each re-install. This download must live in some other place on my PC causing it to overwrite 747 after each install. Does anyone know how I can remove any unwanted FS file after I uninstall the game? Also, it shouldn't start running choppy, it has always run fine as this is a brand new PC....someone please let me know if they have an idea...thanks a lot this is very disappointing.
