Trying to get my files & folders straightened out & get my downloaded aircraft in a Temp folder, I was trying to delete some aircraft & I get a noisy "Error deleting file or folder" with the message "canno read from the source file or disk". Would appreciate any information that will allow me to delete the files or folders so I can get rid of some of my excess aircraft. Thanks guys.

That sounds like a HD error. I would immediately boot into safe mode and run scandisk and defrag in that order.

Thanks for the comeback, I must have defragged recently, I started Defrag & after analyzing the HD, the computer told me it didn't need a Defrag. I've got one of the computers that has a habit of telling me what I can't do & what I have to do. I'm running Windows XP. But it doesn't tell me how to delete somethings, thanks again.

This sounds very much like the error message you get when trying to delete files from a CD. This is obviously not possible. The easiest way to delete a file or folder is to right-click on it & select Delete.
You can do this in bulk by selecting the files/folders first. Be very careful not to delete anything important, especially default files. Deleted items will be sent to the Recycle Bin until you delete them from there. Up to this point you can retrieve them if you make a mistake.

Thanks Hagar, I 'll try your tip & see what I can get rid of,anything that smacks of default aircraft, I leave strictly alone, some of the 3rd party aircraft don't seem to be compatible with FS2002 & if it's not noted in the installation instructions, I have to delete them. thanks again.
