Hey, all... I'm sure this has been addressed before, but let's do it ONE MORE TIME!!
I installed a new panel to my Hyperion ATR-72( the BEST VA in town), and when I taxi out, it starts going like it is late for a date. I have to constantly apply/release brakes in order to keep the speed down to a reasonable rate. I have noticed this issue with other turboprops in the past, and just dealt with it...Now, it's game on, and I am taking my life back! (Pretty dramatic, huh?)
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Darrell...I just read your post and did some flight testing of the ATR, because I've never noticed this problem myself.

Not quite sure where the problem is occurring...I took the ATR out to the taxiways and ran through a series of tests and experienced nothing like this.

Then I took her out to the active and opened it up full steam and aborted the take off.  She stopped on a dime.

Can you be more specific in your explanation of the problem so we here at the main office can try to figure out what's going on for you?

  It is a B-1900 D panel actually. I just like it more than the ATR panel.
  All I do is just push back, then release brakes, and it starts going like a cat set on fire. I use the same panel on the 1900 D as well, as well as other planes I have, and the problem still occurs. I also have other turboprops W/O the same panel/plane set up, and they taxi fast as well. I KNOW I have read about this problem before, but I just can't remember where.

So it's the B19 panel with the ATR aircraft?  When we released the ATR for downloads, it had its own panel, albeit a MISERABLE one.  (Standby for improvements though...snicker.)

If you've made modifications to the .cfg, such as aliasing a panel, I'm wondering if something else got changed as well.

Or, if you've used an add-on panel, try using a different add-on panel and see if the problem disappears.  

I'm not saying you messed something up, just trying to rule out any possibilities of an anomaly in the file you're using.

This is one of these mysteries which I have experienced with one or two aircraft. I've tried all types of solutions playing around with aircraft cfg, my flight stick, and air files but in the end I downloaded Rob Barendregt's excellent groundhandling gauges for 2002 and 2004.  (rcbgh32.zip) They make life so much easier and save on these brake pads!!! It also helps with braking on landing too.

  I can't find that rcbgh32.zip file. Do you have it handy? And If so, could  you e-mail it to me? To correct this problem would make you "Da Man"...Not to mention, I'll try anything now.

I aint got it no more. But its there in the AVSIM site. Go to extended search and enter rcbgh-32.zip. I think its also in FltSim.com That should find it. Failing that just enter the author's name: Rob Barendregt. Hope it helps.
