Hi everyone... does anyone know how to add the GEforce4 into the display CFG file to fully utilise the card and give me reflections... with reflections turned on and everything turned up to max..... silver/chrome is white and reflective gold is yellow. Had this problem once before and was fixed...alas after a re-install .... lost the fix!  Thanks :'(

Hi Map...!
All of your programs will automatically recognise your graphics card... ;)...!
Just make sure that in your Options > Settings > Display > Hardware/Aircraft settings that you have ticked the necessary boxes in FS 2002/ FS 2004...to enable reflections, etc....!

My Ge-Force 4 TI 4200 re-produces them admirably... ;D...!

Cheers...

Map if its an MX4 then try the following;

Depending which card you have, add one of the following lines to your diplay.cfg file at the end of the GeForce 2 section:

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 460
[000010DE:00000170]
DriverValidate2=1

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440
[000010DE:00000171]
DriverValidate2=1

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
[000010DE:00000172]
DriverValidate2=1

Hey Ozzy... thanks heeeaps... that did the trick!!!
I have saved it to a temp file as well, for future reference.

Without the reflections from the polished aluminium... it just looks sooo flat!!

Thanks again and happy flying!!

MAP, just had the same problem.  I accidentally killed my Windows.  Now I'm having to re-install EVERYTHING agian.  GeForce reflections only work after Ozzy's fix. Thanks to Ozzy for posting the fix...he helped me when I was in the same situation last year.

Word to the wise, IF IT AIN'T BROKE...DON'T FIX IT - ESPECIALLY late at night!  Sheesh what a headache!
