How does fuel flow work does it go by hour?

yes sir, you are correct. Well almost :)

The actual FF displayed on the gauge needs to be multiplied by 1000 to get the actual FF/hour.

So if you see FF at 2,42, it means that the FF during 1 hour will be 2420lbs
