Weep... weep... problems with Fs Edit

Postby asda_price » Sat Nov 22, 2003 12:38 pm

There is a problem with my Fs Edit. I open up a plane and click on 'Panel' so that I can add a guage. When I click, it freezes then Windows says that Fs Edit has found an error and has to close. Help please. :'(

Simple, DON'T use FSEdit, its rubbish! Download AirEd available here at http://www.simviation.com/fsutilities_gen2.htm

I agree with Ozzy about FSEdit. To edit the panel try CfgEdit.

What is so bad with FS Edit?  The only problems I've noticed are the one described in this thread, and how it makes errors when deleting fuel tanks.  All I use it or is modifying the aircraft.cfg file, and it's easier than using Notepad to do so.

FS Edit is the buggiest peice of software i've ever seen.

Not only is it completely unstable, i've heard it will change things it's not supposed too

Using Notepad is quick & simple ;)

Actually, now that you mention it, I do remember a few aircraft that have gone berzerk after a few slight changes with FS Edit.
