I have been trying to create a splash screen from a file I had, but the color of the picture (when I start FS) is totaly wierd, allmost like a negative of the image.

I have the file saved as a bmp, 24bit file. If Change it to 256 colors it loses quality!

You need the Imagetool converter.  If you have 2k2 Pro version, its found in the Gmax folder.  Just open up one of your other splashscreens with this program and then click Image and then check under format.  This is what your new splashscreen needs to be saved as.
