Hello everybody:

I have a Voodoo 3 3000 video card (16 Mb) and I have a problem with textures on some planes. Some parts of some planes appears in black instead of the correct textures, and in the case of MELJET planes, they appear completely black.

Could anybody help me?

Hi Odissey, welcome to SimV. Could you please post your system specs and OS, and I'm sure someone can think up a fix for you.

I think it might be either the complexity of certain models or the texture formats. The Voodoo 3 is a great card but not really up to running FS2002. IMHO
My Voodoo 5 5500 copes well enough but does not support the chrome reflective effects.

This is the main problem with Voodoo cards. No new official drivers have been released since 3dfx went bust some 3 years ago. This is the only reason why my perfectly good Voodoo 5 does not support the chrome reflective textures. All M$ sims work best on the video card manufacturer's official certified drivers. I still think the main problem is that a 16 Mb video card is not adequate for FS2002..

.....You would have to be a 3dfx fan to fully appreciate how I feel.
