AI, .cfg, and Tina Turner

Is making an AI plane flyable as simple as copying the .cfg file from a flyable plane into the AI plane, and if so, what permissions would be necessary to do so?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?

(I needed to put Tina Turner into this thread somehow, and that's all I've got, sorry.)

Hype. Is this a serious question or a windup? LOL

We've been through all this AI traffic stuff before, in fact I remember seeing

Phew, I thought I was the one losing my mind...I knew I hadn't responded to that.  lol

I figured it was pretty much just a reversal of the process, but here's the part 2...

If I do that, do I need to get the permissions of the AI designer, the designer of the cfg that I use, plus the permissions of the panel folks?

That's a lot of permission!  lol

Sorry. It was thinking about Tina Turner that threw me. ::) ;D

Right. Forget the CFG - it's the AIR file. Some AI drones have specially modified flight dynamics which are are not suitable as flyable aircraft. You can modify anything you like if it's for your own personal use. I imagine you would need permission from the authors to post it, especially if it wasn't intended to be flyable. I've created some AI Only drones myself which were never intended to be flyable.

It won't have a panel so you will have to create one or use an existing one. An empty Panel folder will do to check it out in the sim. If it doesn't have one it won't show on the menu.
