Updating Altimeter?

I am sure this has been asked before but I will ask again because I cannot find the answer...

Right now my Altimeter says 5150 ft. When I contacted a center they said the current altimeter is 3008 ft.

How do I change my Altimeter to reflect the accurate altitude??

Thanks everyone in advance!

Yup, pressing B will reset your altimeter to the current one.

Also, they didn't say that the current altimeter is 3008ft, what they mean is that it's 30.08 on the altimeter scale. More people will know more about this than me, but it's also possible to change the altimeter manually. If you're flying the Cessna, there's a little knob to the bottom left of the altimeter, move your mouse over it, and turn it to the left to watch the altimeter setting rise, and vice versa.

Here's a good thread about the altimeter/ atmosphere pressure settings.
