ILS Help.. Bouncing off

Postby terbert » Sun Aug 24, 2003 4:47 am

Hi chaps,
Flew to Aberdeen online Friday, no probs. ILS landing ok. Yesterday and today online, just keeps turning away. Freq's ok, but can only get in on FSnav f/plan. Would it be an ILS fault with new scenery for Aberdeen installed. Hope you can help.

Hi chaps,
Latest update, just bounced away again from ILS 34, so went to other end and came in on ILS 16, same freq, and it worked perfectly. Trouble is, Atc tend to use 34!!!
Surely something needs 'tweaking'
Going nuts,
Tony C

Strange, i'm not to sure if it's possible to change the settings of that sort of thing. ???

You do have the right course though I guess. ;D

Hi Liam,
Thanks for reply. Yes have course and frq correct.   Am going to remove back to default and see what happens, then try to re-install. Do not understand why r/w 16 works perfectly but 34 does not. I will give it a go anyhow,
Tony C ;)

Hi chaps,
Uninstalled addon Aberdeen, default ILS worked perfectly, re-installed addon and ILS bounce off. So I guess there is a problem with the ILS of the addon. I will tout around to see if there are any more Aberdeen's about and see if they work, unless anyone knows how to correct the problem. I will try the designer also.
Thanks,
Tony C.

I use Paul Baines's dycev2.zip which I like very much.

ILS is 109.9 on both rwys but on rwy 34 you use the back beam on ILS approach. So the instrument appears to work in the opposite mode (ie rwy is shown as being on the left whereas it's actually on the right) but it controls the aircraft properly.

I've got a revised AFCAD file for this scenery on my website which aligns taxiways etc properly which I've just checked and re-uploaded.
