747 - course hold?

Postby Liam » Thu Aug 21, 2003 3:47 pm

I usually fly the 737 if I'm going to fly in a jet, i'm not a great fan of flying the 747.
So I just went on a flight earlier and realised there was no numbers for the course hold thingy...so on ILS the plane doesn't line itself up....how do i work around this? ???

Such a newbie question. ;D

Try changing the course numbers by clicking on the instrument display itself ;)

Well they certainly caught me, I almost ended up landing on the wrong runway because of it... 27R instead of 27L.  started drifting away, so i thought "what the hell i'll land on the next ruway seeing as im closer to that now"...what harm can it do, then I saw a plane taxiing onto the runway, so i decided I should stick with the original runway. ;D
